The New York Rangers goalie #30 Henrik Lundqvist picked up his 19th win of the season stopping 29 out of 30 shots. This picture belongs to ESPN.com
The blueshirts got some early offense from the 19 year old superstar defensemen #4 Michael Del Zotto who netted his 6th goal of the year.
M. Del Zotto has been excellent in his first year in the NHL there is so much that he brings to his team.
Then you go down the roster 3 players have really stepped it up one of those guys is obviously #17 Brandon Dubinsky who had a goal and 2 assist in today's win.
#18 Marc Staal has become a great defensemen with time he has definitely excelled into an elite list.
Marc has played with more intensity and is starting to do things with the puck in the offensive zone, you have to be impressed by how much he has improved.
Then you think about how many times a team brings up a player to do big things and it takes loads of time to work out.
When you see a player come through in an opportunity like this it is really fun to watch and #26 Erik Christensen in his last six games he has collected 7 points with 3 goals.
At the end of everything their are led by #10 Marian Gaborik the 27 year old superstar is one of the better players in the National Hockey League without any question.
They played really well today they picked up their game in their own zone, and were starting to throw the body around more.
A lot of this one relied on their goal tending with Henrik Lundqvist and he definitely delivers time in and time out.
After another huge win the New York Rangers have won four straight games in regulation as they now have a season record of 22-17 combing for 50 points 3rd in their division behind the Pittsburgh Penguins who are 27-17 with 55 points.
New York is faced with a huge opportunity to find out what kind of team they are when they take on their division rivals the 1st place New Jersey Devils who are 30-10 with 61 points.
New Jersey has a great team this year playing behind their hall of fame goalie #30 Martin Brodeur.
Marty is a guy who has soft skin as it seems that any words out of the Rangers #16 Sean Avery will drive him insane.
You know the referees will be looking at Sean Avery all game long and every close call will fall in favor of New Jersey so if your Rangers Head Coach John Tortorella you might as well just let S. Avery play his game.
Don't change a thing because since Sean has stepped up his antics the team has been winning, and that is the main thing to keep in mind.
The reason Marty has a lot of trouble with S. Avery down low is because of how far he comes out of net.
You know that Sean will be crashing the net so you might as well step back a foot or two, and play for the one timers.
Then again how can you argue with the style of a goalie who has hall of fame credentials along with being on 3 championship teams.
Anyway on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm eastern time the New York Rangers will host the Devils for another war at Madison Square Garden as the blueshirts look to ride their strong play.
