Rangers get a huge lift from #10 Marian Gaborik who scored 3 goals to give himself a Hat Trick to combine for 4 goals in the last two games in back to back nights.M. Gaborik is a true leader he brings a lot to the team very much like former blueshirt Jaromir Jagr.
New York has been very flat lately although they picked it up at the end of last night they have been unable to answer the opening bell until tonight.

When you are playing the way the Rangers have as of late you need to look around and ask for someone to step up.
Its good to get a some trades done make a lot of key moves but you still need to find a source of power from one of the boys.
Right now as of tonight this is their team so the focus needs to go on the guys who are still on the team because rumours are still just rumours in the end.
When you go out and sign the players they did in the off season you need to find a way to give them support especially when you have two newcomers like Marian Gaborik and #20 Vinny Prospal.
Unless you start bringing in some good results then those deals are all for nothing because they were brought in to play on a winning team.
Players of that caliber don't want to go through losing streaks the way New York has all season long.

Chad had an strong first period stopping all 12 shots he faced giving New York a 1-0 lead going into the 2nd period that would only expand.
As well as he did in the early going I feel that he came up even bigger toward the end of the game.
He surrendered a goal in the first but was facing an onslaught of shots as Colorado began to apply some intense pressure in their offensive zone.

Keep Donald Brashear out and let A. Voros do his thing on the ice because he has been getting in the faces of opposing teams for a while now.
Why even bother with Donald considering he now has someone else doing his job for him.
The one problem I have with tonight is why on earth you would give captain #23 Chris Drury that amount of time on the power play.
Chris played well over 5 power play minutes more than anyone else in the lineup which makes no sense for a guy who has 19 points in the 50 games he has played in this season.
He has been a very weak player since his arrival to New York in 213 regular season games he has 55 goals with only 133 points, to be honest there is not much good to say about him.
The fact is whenever the team needs a boost he is never the guy to give that strength that they need to play more consistent.
I know he has never really been a numbers guy but he is paid a lot of money by the Rangers to play clutch Hockey, something he has been failing to do.
You cannot ask the same players to do it every night somewhere along the line you are going to have to rely on other parts of your team which would also give you a lot more chemistry as a unit.
The journey gets tougher as the New York Rangers will roll into Tuesday night's game in LA as they play the Los Angeles Kings at 10:30 pm eastern time.
The blueshirts will be playing against some tough opponents after that they will be facing the Washington Capitals followed by the New Jersey Devils.
Whoever made the schedule didn't seem to have the Rangers best interest at heart but in a way this is exactly how you want it....To be the best you have to beat the best and that is what they are going to have to do.
