Lackey Would Make Perfect Fit For Yanks In 2010

For the 2nd game in the series he was rolling against the best team in Baseball, but his manager decided to yank him early with men on base.

Now after New York won the World Series they have to make the right moves to repeat in 2010.

John Lackey would be a great addition to their rotation providing clutch performances when it counts.

As good as the Toronto Blue Jays Roy Halladay is you have to think about how many times he has had to pitch the game of his life during his tenure in the major leagues.

I know a lot of Yankee fans want to see Roy in the pinstripes, but the man has never pitched in the post season before.

I know A.J. Burnett turned out to be a success, you just cannot keep signing the biggest names you can get.

What gets the job done is getting gritty players, and signing pitchers who will answer the call in big games.

Looking at a guy like J. Lackey remember he won the World Series in 2002, and was the anchor of the the Angels pitching staff from that point on.

On New York's side it would be a smart move considering the concern on the recovery of Chien Mieng Wang.

Part of making it back to October next year is being the first to strike in the negotiations, and bring back players who can give them another ring.
