Rangers Have To Turn It Around Fast

The New York Rangers have had become use to dominating the second half of a season, but it takes more than that to be a top team in the National Hockey League.

You can't go into these funks during the early part of a season every year, and always expect to pull yourself out.

It is time that the offense gets it going behind Marian Gaborik who has been one of the better players in Hockey with 22 points in 16 games.

Marian has found the back of the net quite frequently this year his 12 goals lead the team, and in reality the C belongs on his jersey.

The current captain Chris Drury is anything but there is nothing exciting about what he has done during his time in New York.

Chris is going to have to become a name in the league, and start to find ways to generate more offense.

I am tired of waiting for him to come around it is time for him to show something.

I really do not care about what he has done in the past since he has been a player who is relied on he has plummeted into failure.

When it comes to the goalie there better not be a complaint Henrik Lundqvist has been outstanding, but that leaves me with the question what else is new?

With the lack of offense Henrik has done his best to help the team posting a 8-5-1 record with a 2.52 goals against average.

You cannot pin some of those losses on him considering the offense has 4 goals in the last four games.

It is really hard to win as a goaltender when your team is having trouble putting up more than one goal in a game.

Again I always know it is going to happen, but it still shocks me how the NHL board allows the officials to be as biased as they have been to the New York Rangers.

I am disgusted that a professional sport has to deal with those aspects, but in the end the right team can still win.

Someone on the team needs to start finding the back of the net real fast or they will find themselves out of playoff contention before they know it.

As of right now they have 21 points 3 behind the first place Pittsburgh Penguins, if they can get back to playing their game they can easily be at the front of the Eastern Conference.

After dropping their last game 3-1 to the Calgary Flames they have a chance to recover with their game on Thursday night at 7:00 as they return to play at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Look out for #20 Valec Prospal and #21 Christopher Higgins they have been getting a lot of shots on net lately for the blueshirts, and in due time those shots are going to start becoming goals.
