Arod And Jorge Power Yanks to 3-1 in WS

Alex came through in a big way which is what he has done all year.

A. Rodriguez has only two hits in the World Series so far, but has a HR, a double and 3 RBI in the last two games.

The Yankees catcher Jorge Posada broke out a big 2 run single to follow which gave the closer Mariano Rivera a chance to pitch in the bottom half of the inning.

J. Posada blew a big run in the field after not blocking the plate once again, but he made up it later in the game.

Although I thought Jorge Posada played another bad game behind the plate he managed to collect another clutch hit, and has been driving in runs as of late.

Jorge had a great at bat with 2 out in the 9th, and packed on 2 extra insurance runs.

Most catchers break down in their mid 30's, and I've noticed J. Posada doesn't throw a lot of runners out anymore definitely not like he use to.

When it comes to the captain SS Derek Jeter there is nobody who could tell me he is not one of the biggest winner in sports.

He has gotten the offense started so many times this October, you have to admire the way he does it year after year.

D. Jeter is the best all around shortstop in the game, and yes I did say that I don't know any players who continuously shine in the World Series the way he has.

New York has the best overall pitching staff in the game it is obvious when you watch the greatest starter and closer in the league on the same team.

The key of the game was the Yankees closer Mariano Rivera not throwing many pitches as he now has 39 career saves in the post season after pitching a scoreless 9th inning.

Every save M. Rivera gets in the post season from this point on for the rest of his career will add to his record of the most career saves in playoff history.

CC Sabathia was unable to earn a decision, but pitched another excellent game on 3 days rest working 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs striking out 6.

CC left the Yankees with a 4-3 lead in bottom of the 7th after allowing a solo home run to Chase Utley.

You could see he did not have his best stuff from the first pitch, but he is just a pitcher out there, and finds ways to get outs.
