#16 Sean Avery the agitator was getting in the face of Florida Panthers all night causing a lot of disruption in the game.This is what you always want, and Sean gives it to you every game he always plays with a lot of intensity on the ice.

After starting the game down by a goal the New York Rangers found a way to recover very quickly with captain #23 Chris Drury's 5th goal of the season.
Chris has been getting it going as of late with his game tying goal he has 3 goals in his last four games as he is starting to get the puck to the net.
C. Drury has a great shot that he can take from many slots in the offensive zone, and it can be very sneaky when he has distance on the opposing goalie.
#16 Sean Avery and #81 Enver Lisin collected the assists on the goal.
the young 23 year old E. Lisin looked to be getting the hang of the NHL in tonight's game he was causing a lot of havoc in the Panthers defensive zone.
#20 Vinny Prospal gave New York the 2-1 lead when he scored his 7th of the year in the 2nd period with the assists coming from #24 Ryan Callahan, and by #10 Marian Gaborik.
Vinny has not gone under the radar of the scouts in the National Hockey League, and he should because he has been playing hard this whole year.
V. Prospal has flourished in his first season for the blueshirts, it just has not been noticed because of the tremendous play of newcomer Marian Gaborik.
The third period was another great period for V. Prospal his hard work paid off for his 2nd of the game, and his 8th of the season from #17 Brandon Dubinsky, and #18 Marc Staal.This picture belongs to ESPN.com
The play was opened up with a terrific pass from B. Dubinsky that was placed right on the tape of Vinny Prospal's stick as New York took a two goal lead.
Although they were shorthanded the Rangers ended up scoring a 4th unanswered goal to take a 4-1 lead.
M. Gaborik scored his league leading 26th goal of the season as he showed some impressive strength scoring on a breakaway.Marian had one hand on the stick, and still managed to sneak it through the legs of the Panthers goalie #29 Tomas Vokoun with a beautiful backhanded shot.

Sean Avery following the goal received his 2nd two minute roughing penalty of the period as the Panthers also got a two minute roughing call.
I don't know why S. Avery gets a penalty whenever he makes contact with another player there was a fast whistle on the play he saw an open puck, and went for it that's Hockey you have to let that go.
The Rangers main broadcaster Sam Rosen is so horrible to listen to I had to mute the television at many points in this game especially after what he said regarding Sean Avery on that play.
Sean had 3 players from the Panthers falling on him as he fell over Florida's net minder Tomas Vokoun, but how can you stop your momentum when you have all that weight crashing down on you?
It is people like Sam Rosen who make S. Avery sound like a dirty player I am not going to lie he sometimes goes a little too far with his antics, but he does not try to intentionally injure anyone for no reason.
Sam Rosen sort of implied that Sean didn't make any effort to get out of T. Vakoun's way but what do you want him to do fly in the air?
The 4-1 lead was enough for the blueshirts to complete a four game winning streak before going home for Christmas.

The numbers H. Lundqvist is putting up in recent games are incredible, and they should not be taken light from other teams in the NHL.
He stopped 33 out the first 34 shots he faced, and counting tonight so he has not given up more than 3 goals in a game since October 30th when he lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2.
Henrik can sometimes fall into those weird funks but he always pulls himself out of it with his determination, and hard work ethic.
Another good note for the team is since the 23 year old Brandon Dubinsky came off of having a broken hand the blueshirts have won four out of their last six games.
It was a shame he broke his hand because watching him since the season opener he has played with more of an edge in his game this year.
He had a very tough summer dealing with a tragic loss in his family losing his 2 month old son, and I am behind him one hundred percent to take off into the player I know he can be.
I feel for Brandon and I really hope everything works out for him because I have thought a lot about him since his professional debut.
The Rangers next game will on Saturday the 26th at 7:00 pm eastern time at Madison Square Garden they will battle their rivals the New York Islanders.
