25 year old Jamie Hoffmann has played 14 games at the major league level going 4 for 22 with 1 HR driving in 7 runs. This picture belongs to ESPN.com
Jamie will have a chance to show Yankees manager Joe Girardi what he can do when the players report for the start of spring training.
It is always good to see a young player come to a team coming off a Championship it is real motivating for a newcomer to go to a place that brings hall of fame talent.
Jamie will come to play in his five seasons of minor league ball he was 622 for 2,1999 knocking out 36 home runs with 279 RBI for a .283 average.
In his last 3 years of playing in the bush leagues he was 371 for 1269 with 29 home runs driving in 216 runs for a .292 average.
You can see he has improved his game year after year and New York could be the place where he comes into his own as a solid big league player.
Jamie brings an excellent glove to the table which will could be very valuable for the Yankees who have lacked a glove out there in left field for quite some time now.
J. Hoffmann will have plenty of veterans to turn to for advice, and it should be fun to see if he will shine at legends field when spring training rolls around.
