Wang On The Long List Of Free Agents

The New York Yankees don't appear to be considering a return for pitcher Chin Ming Wang.

You could never rule out anything but the fact that they let him go to free agency has to be a step into letting him go.

This is a pitcher who is far from finished at the age of 29 he will come into the 2010 season for which ever team he signs with supporting a career 55-26 record holding major league hitters to a 4.16 ERA.

This would be a nice upgrade for any team looking to improve their pitching staff even after how poorly Wang pitched last year.

You have to give him the benefit of the doubt after how he has pitched in previous years, this was a guy who was at one time at the top of the New York Yankees rotation.

When you have watched a guy get big outs time in and time out it is very hard to just write him off because of one disastrous season.

You cannot blame New York at this point the GM Brian Cashman has so many decisions in his corner it is better to be patient, he is baiting some players to bring down their offers.

The longer negotiations carry on the more players will increase their demands in the end the only team that can match any offer on the plate has to be the Yankees.
