A. Pettitte came to an agreement with New York that will pay him 11.75 million dollars to give them another year of greatness.

The veteran left hander was excellent last season during the regular season he was 14-8 with a 4.16 ERA in 194.2 innings.

Andy was no slouch in the post-season either he was 4-0 with a 3.52 ERA in 30.2 innings.

I was one of the fans who was uncertain how he would pitch when he signed last off season, but he has answered those questions.

I really don't know if you can say that the Yankees would have won the title last year if they didn't have a pitcher like A. Pettitte as the 3rd man in the rotation.
