Renan Barao {31-1} was incredible at UFC 149, he completely took the fight to Urijah Faber who now moves to 26-6.

Renan has not lost a fight in MMA since the first fight of his career, his first and only loss came in 2005 when he lost to Joao Paulio due to unanimous decision.

When Dominick Cruz had to pull out of this fight with a torn acl, many fans were left wondering who could fill that gap.

It put a hold on a possible dream fight, I guess its true that everything happens for a reason because I honestly cannot wait to see Renan Barao take on Dominick Cruz.

After winning his first 4 UFC fights, Renan is in a position where he holds all the cards now, he has the chance to stand out as one of the very best in the sport.

His kicks were absolutely lethal.breaking down Urijah Faber, once he took his legs out from under him he was able to come down with some strikes from the top.

Its funny that he wasn't in a fight with Dominick Cruz as it was looking at his record and the way he fought last night, I cannot believe this guy went unnoticed for this long.

The country of Brazil overall has made the fight game so much better with all the stars its produced over the years.

Renan now stands out as one of the top fighters in the world, he will now move on to an even bugger challenge in order to hold the Bantamweight title.

He will have to test his skills against Dominick Cruz, this is shaping up to be a really interesting fight.

I honestly don't know what the plan would be for Renan Barao, I wonder if he would try to take Dominick to the ground or try to keep it standing.

Both of these fighters only have one loss in their careers, its hard to really find a hole in either of their fighting styles.

Dominick Cruz's only loss came back in his WEC debut against Urijah Faber in 2007 by submission, the fight lasted only 1 minute and 38 seconds.

Although Dominick was able to defeat Urijah Faber in his UFC debut at UFC 132 in July of 2011, you have to wonder if Urijah saw a hole that he was able to capitalize on in the 1st fight.

During the second encounter between Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber, Dominick was very impressive winning by unanimous decision earning, himself fight of the night.

Now after watching Renan Barao completely dominate Urijah Faber for a 5 round unanimous decision victory, we are left with one of the best match ups you can come up with.

Hopefully Dominick Cruz will heal real soon, I hope to see him come back as soon as possible and continue being one of the better fighters in the world.
