UFC Heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos {14-1 11 knockouts} looks to be unbeatable at this point since capturing the title from former champion Cain Velasquez.
In his last fight he was able to take the fight to the great Frank Mir at UFC 146, he completely over matched him from the start all the way through the end.
He was able to stop Frank Mir by TKO knockout in the 2nd round after Frank was unable to recover, it was a statement to everyone in the UFC's Heavyweight division.
Before the fight there was nonstop talk from both fighters on what they promised to do, in the end Junior Dos Santos was the one who came swinging the hammer.
In the end it was Junior who backed up everything he said he was going to do, we were left with the image of a bloody and beaten Frank Mir.
Frank Mir in so many ways had this beating coming, its kind of hard to respect a fighter who talks about wanting to snap other people's limbs.
I remember when he was able to make Brock Lesnar tap years ago he held onto the hold after Brock tapped countess times, it was a display of a fighter intentionally trying to injure another fighter.
Thats why when Brock Lesnar beat Frank Mir I was really happy watching him just pound the crap out of that guy, what got me was how Frank could actually whine after that fight.
When you try to purposely snap someone's leg you have to respect a response.
I get it its a fight but really there is no sportsmanship in trying to hurt your opponent, your all in there for the same reason so it should be over once there is a winner
F. Mir has bragged about breaking Antonio Nogueira's arm at UFC 140, to me that whole scene was hard to watch.
I don't understand the people who can watch a display like that and be able to clap, I'm sorry when its all set and done there people just like anyone else.
How anyone can be happy about anyone breaking their arm is beyond me, I couldn't believe Frank Mir was actually jumping up celebrating after that.
I guess we could say what goes around comes around, Junior didn't break any of Frank's limbs but he just plain took him to school.
I'm sure Frank will remember those shots he took for a very long time, I was shocked he lasted as long as he did because Junior just took him apart..
Underneath all the coverage of the main event, Cain Velasquez {10-1 10 knockouts}was able to recover since dropping the title to Junior Dos Santos with a dominant 1st round knockout over Antonio Silva.
Cain was able to hit Antonio with over 53 strikes while Antonio was only able to get off 3, C. Valasquez was able to also make a statement in the Heavyweight division that night.
After a big loss its really hard for a fighter to regain his momentum, but Cain was able to come back with a real presence.
After UFC 146 UFC president Dana White booked the rematch for the World Heavyweight title with Junior Dos Santos once again taking on Cain Velasquez.
The two Heavyweights will get a chance to prove who is the better man at UFC 152 on September 22nd.
I cannot wait to see what will happen because going into the 1st fight these guys had with each other, after the way Cain demolished Brock Lesnar I honestly didn't see anyone taking him down for a long time.
Junior Dos Santos just came in and beat the holly heck out of Cain Velasquez, many UFC fans were stunned when Junior was able to knock him out within 1 minute and 4 seconds of the fight.
Like I said before its really hard to come back from a loss like that, even with the way Cain Velasquez fought his last fight right now at this point in time Junior Dos Santos may be unstoppable.
There really doesn't seem to be many fighters who can strike with this man, if you take Junior down to the ground you better get him down or hes going to pummel you in the clinch.
Cain is going to have to find another way if he wants to regain the title, we have all seen striking with the champion is probably not the best idea.
Even with the vicious knockout power of a Cain Velasquez who can beat this man? How do you get to someone who hits you that amount of times?
Will we be treated with a solid technical match, will we see a war of fists or we will be staring at another early knockout courtesy of our world champion?
All of those questions will be answered when these two take each other on for the 2nd time, we can talk all day about what we think will happen, but its the UFC you never know.
Right now we can just look at the champion as someone who has definitely earned his bones to get to the top, we can look at the world champion as a champion to be proud of.
I look at another great champion out of Brazil Middleweight champion Anderson Silva, the man could take notes from Junior Dos Santos on how to be a real professional.
Junior doesn't need to bump fighters at weigh ins or grab trunks, he doesn't even have to throw illegal knees, the man will get you in the octagon and just knock you out.
Get ready for a great fight because as of right now I don't know if there is a man in the world who can stop Junior Dos Santos.
