The Boston Red Sox have released John Smoltz who went 2-8 with an 8.32 era in 8 starts this year was anything but what people expect out of him. Smoltz last game as a Red Sox he was smashed by the New York Yankees which to me doesn't say much because they have been the best team since the all-star break.
Smoltz is left wondering if who he will pitch for if he will pitch again. You have to think someone will pick him up but in this stage of his career it’s hard to really know.
