Robinson Cano has sparkled with his glove and slammed his way into serious numbers as a New York Yankee. He is in his 5th season as a Yankee and he has 821 career hits at the Major League level already which has not been mentioned.
- He hit .297 14 home runs 62 RBI with 155 hits in 522 at bats. As a rookie you are expected to make errors as he made 17 but improved as the season went on. In his first season as a Bronx Bomber Robbie Cano did heavy damage as a rookie standing alone as the starting second basemen for years to come.
- Cano hit an awesome .342 with 15 home runs 78 rbi and 165 hits in 482 at bats climbing up the hit charts giving the American League batting title a run for his money.
- Robinson came back with hard work trying to redeem him after a heartbreaking playoff series. He made 13 errors but had had 320 putouts as he played in a lot more games than he did in his previous years.
- It would be fair to say that with Mike Mussina winning 20 games there was really nothing to build on for the Yankees. It was not Cano's fault his average went down with a .271 average with 14 home runs and 72 RBI. He still had 165 hits in 597 at bats proving he was still a great hitter.
- During this current season going into today Robinson Cano has been on a hot streak batting .319 with 18 home runs and 60 RBI loving the new Yankee Stadium. On pace to do big things in career hits he has 150 his in 470 at bats with over a month and 16 days to go in the regular season.
