Like him or not Manny Ramirez has been a dominate force at the plate since he began his career. Ramirez has 540 career home runs a .314 batting average with 2468 hits in 7857 at bats.
Manny has been thrown under the bus since he tested positive for steroids and served his 50 game suspension this season. It is still unfair to question one of the most natural swings I have ever seen. He has been everything you can ask of a hitter.
You can make an exception for his glove because he will carry you with his bat. You saw it with Boston David Ortiz got a lot of pitches having Manny Ramirez in the same lineup.
The thing that makes Ramirez such a good all around hitter is his ability to hit with two strikes. For a player with as much power as Manny you would think he would strike out more but he seems to always find a way to do something.
This season since coming off the 50 game suspension he is hitting .308 coming into today with 13 home runs 45 RBI and 76 base hits in 247 at bats. Manny has been good with runners in scoring position hitting .317 in those situations.
Manny got caught but he is not the only one as far as we know right now today he is clean which is what counts.
Obviously nobody that tested positive for 2003 drug test will be punished so release the names and let’s get on with the game which has been said numerous times.
If Ramirez just admitted what he took then I think it would all be over it is sad that all the steroid talks have gone on as long as they have. Manny Ramirez is a gifted hitter regardless of what he took.
Manny won two world championships with the Boston Red Sox in 2004 and 2007 playing a major role on those teams. Once he came to the Dodgers last season they suddenly became a better team.
Whatever team Manny goes to will be a better team because of him. Overall Ramirez will give you at least 30 to 40 home runs a year with a batting average over .300.
