Its time for David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez to stop making excuses and to come out and inform children what these enhancements can do to you. Regardless of if they took steroids or willingly took steroids the fact is that they give shady answers to simple questions to avoid the truth.
To be honest I really don't think any of the players who tested positive were completely honest let’s just get it out there how could you not know what you’re putting into your body?
Steroids has been talked about time and time again but why isn't anyone pressing these athletes to do commercials public speeches at schools baseball clinics let everyone know the dangers of steroids and other enhancements.
I heard Manny Ramirez pretty much right away his answer was that he didn't know why. That is an answer that seems to come out of a lot of players who have tested positive for anything. The thing about Manny is that he has always been such a good hitter that you got to wonder if he willingly took something why would he need to?
Manny is one of the best all around hitters in the game today and this can only tarnish that reputation as he should just come out and tell the truth.
David Ortiz what can you say about the guy? He was a terrible hitter in the beginning of his career not being able to have the hands quick enough to turn on the inside pitch. Then in 2004 the man really in my eyes and a lot of others came out of nowhere.
The things he did steroids or not you still have to hit the big game home runs so you cannot just say the Red Sox 2004 and 2007 titles are tainted because then you have to call the Yankees 96 98 99 and 2000 title into question as a few players from those teams tested tested positive.
Still Ortiz took something and he along with everyone who fails the test plays stupid and acts like they don't know what is going on. If someone gives you something to put into your body even if your a drug addict that buys drugs off a drug dealer are you going to tell me you don't ask what there giving you.
It’s just incredibly stupid to act like you’re clueless about something you put into your own body how could anyone take that as a legit answer. I just somehow doubt you would fail buying over the counter stuff although it was said that could be true will if it could why doesn't Ortiz just say what he took already.
At least Alex Rodriguez got up and said yes I took steroids although he seemed to not be telling the whole truth you at least got the point that he admits to juicing knowing that the test should have never been released nor should anyone else's from that 2003 testing for that matter, but the fact remains the tests are coming out so lets just get it all out there enough nonsense.
The game has been damaged in so many ways and this is just another thing to prove it. Why can't the complete list just be released because it is calling a lot of clean players into question who shouldn't be accused until they are proven guilty?
Guys like Derek Jeter have people wondering and that is absurd unless I saw Jeter juicing with my own eyes I will never believe it so why even bother thinking it at this point. Release the names and prove Jeter and many others innocence. Anytime a player has a hot streak bombing out home run they will always come in to question about steroids.
Ortiz and Ramirez if they both are telling the truth that they did not willingly take steroids then come out and tell everyone what you took so we can find out why they both tested positive.
To me Ortiz having the press conference at the New Yankee stadium to me seemed like a guilty move because he couldn't handle the steroid talks which for a player like Ortiz is being a coward. He still could not come out and say this is what I used I don't know how I failed the test if he really is innocent.
What brings together another argument is that some of these supplements that are coming up were legal at the times players were using them which is why my take is if that is true just come out with the complete truth then because true baseball fans will understand that.
Time for major league baseball to corner Ortiz and Ramirez along with anyone who is hiding the truth to come out and say what is going on.
