When you talk about what you expect of people when they become famous Michael Imperioli is exactly who you think of the man stays away from all the garbage and is on the verge of becoming a more known actor after the Sopranos.
His first role came with the movie Alexa in 1988 which would later the next year be followed up by a small part in Lean on me Morgan Freeman was the star of the movie but still a time where Michael Imperioli was not in the class of well known actors.
The part that people seem to always remember was his role in Goodfellas as Spider. Nobody realizes what goes into what makes a great movie everyone has to be good.
Even in a part as minimal as what he had been given he worked with it and had two great scenes with Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro. It was only a matter of time before he would start to peek as a great actor and screenwriter.
Imperioli had a small role in Dead Presidents which was a movie about kids who came from the
Imperioli's character pleads for the main character to kill him because of the damage he had suffered on the battlefield it was a really strong scene. The movie in a way is a great way to inform people just how much soldiers have to endure.
His breakout was the Sopranos I don't think anyone would ever doubt that not that he didn't hold previous roles but his role as Christopher was a real character. You watched him as Christopher not everything went his way he had to deal with many troubles along his life.
The character of Christopher had a lot to do with his vision. When he wrote the episodes where his character was shot and in the hospital it was almost like you can feel like you were there.
Recently he had been on a show called Life on Mars which he plays detective Ray Carling. I had the pleasure of meeting Michael Imperioli and the man was having a family day meanwhile he still found the time to sign an autograph for me.
You know right away the fact I knew him where I was that he didn't want to be running around like a mad man he wanted to have a nice quiet day but I admire the way she showed me respect as a fan and person.
You could see he didn't want to have a drink with me and talk about the Yankees or anything, but he didn't make me feel like I was nothing he is a real person. He does many things with television and stay tuned the movie
The Lovely Bones is in production look out for some big names in this new movie around Michael Imperioli who is playing Len Fenerman, you have Susan Sarandon playing Grandma Lynn, Stanley Tucci will be playing the role of George Harvey while Mark Wahlberg the creator of Entourage will be playing the role of Jack Salamon.
Over the next year Michael Imperioli will prove more of what he can do on the screen as he shows just because the Sopranos is over doesn't mean Michael Imperioli is over.
