The New York Mets are becoming more and more like a soap opera. Jerry Manuel has lost control of his team completely and has damaged his reputation with players that have left the team.
Ryan Church was upset to learn Manuel made the comment that Wright getting hit was a different story questioning the toughness of Church. The comment was referring to the Ryan Church’s last concussion as a Met.
For what reason do you need to bring an ex player into that? Jerry Manuel was addressed about David Wright talk about him and keep it at that blowing it up into another story at this point is ignorant.
Manuel claims there was no intent on the comments but in reality you cannot throw players names into a situation that did not involve them.
This has been going on for the Mets all year as they continue to find themselves caught up in the middle of another argument almost every week. The Mets need to start playing baseball because whatever they have been doing has not been the answer.
On Paper you have some big names time to get Manuel out .Time to bring in a manager that will at keep his concentration on the game not getting involved in nonstop controversy.
If they were playing in an empty stadium they wouldn't be making any money so that is how the fans rule the game.
The Drama needs to stop because the Mets are not helping themselves by all this off the field distractions. Francisco Rodriguez new met closer this year after being signed during this past off season after setting the record for most saves in a single season last year as a Los Angeles Angel.
Krod started it off by saying the Mets are the team to beat if that were it then it would be easy to get over but this is turning into days of our lives.
A while back Brian Bruney made uncalled for comments about Krod but Francisco had to blow it up more yelling in his face before the next game between the Yankees and Mets after Bruney made the comment.
When Castillo dropped the fly ball off of the bat of Alex Rodriguez to give the Yankees a walk off win and Krods first blown save of the year Bruney said that he couldn't have happened to a better guy.
Bruney shouldn't have said that there was no reason for it but Krod proved more that the Mets are willing to get in the middle of high school games. People say a lot of things are the Mets willing to let that be what stops them into being a top team?
Jerry Manuel needs to get control of his team because if I were the General Manager he would have be out a long time ago.
