It is got to be disappointing for a lot of people to know that a player of his caliber will most likely retire from the game without a World Series title. He has meant so much to the game of baseball that it would be more than fair for the game to give something back to him.
In most ways Ken Griffey Jr made his own bed by not jumping on with a contending team. He is playing on a competitive team has waved bye bye a long time ago. Injuries have plagued the veterans struggling career as he has achieved personal milestones but still has yet to find his way into the World Series books.
His father Ken Griffey Sr who wasn't as talented as Jr can say he has been to the greatest stage in all of baseball. Unless Jr finds a way to break this unlucky streak of injuries and finds his way onto a contending team then he will always be known as just a great player nothing else which is still an achievement but to Jr it has to be frustrating.
For what Ken Griffey Jr was projected to be it is sad that he has been out of the spotlight as long as he has. The New York Yankees come into town and he is not the story anymore all you can do is pray that true baseball fans will realize how gifted the guy is and is dedication to the game over the years.
