CC Sabathia Wins 2009 ALCS MVP

New York Yankees newcomer CC Sabathia won the 2009 American League Most Valuable player award.

CC went 2-0 in the ALCS pitching 16 innings allowing 2 runs on 9 hits striking out 12.

He is a pitcher that came into this post season with a lot of critics surrounding him due to his past troubles in the playoffs.

You got to keep in mind that he is a different pitcher now he trusts his stuff, and his playing on one of the better teams in the game right now.

He won 2 starts in this Series pitching game 4 on 3 days rest to jump out to a 3 games to 1 lead on the Angels.

CC Sabathia has been dominant on the hill throughout this October, but none of this would be possible if it weren't for the heroics of 3B Alex Rodriguez.

Alex Rodriguez has become one of the most clutch hitters in Baseball going 7 for 19 in the 2009 ALCS with 3 HR, 6RBI putting up an average of .429.

Alex had a great game at the plate in game six going 2-2 with 3 walks.

He really came through in game two when he tied the game in the bottom of the 11th on a solo HR off of Angels Closer Brian Fuentes.

The Yankees came back to win that game jumping to a two game advantage which played a major role in their Series win dropping games 3 and 5.

A. Rodriguez is swinging a hot bat heading into the World Series, and will counter the Phillies 1B Ryan Howard.

Arod has had so many late inning hits that have carried the offense on his back in situations that could have broken the Yankees 2009 season.

With CC Sabathia and Alex Rodriguez performing at the level that they have so far it should create some major problems for the Philadelphia Phillies as the Yanks are in search of their 27th world title.
