R. Porcello had a strong rookie season with a 14-9 record keeping major league sluggers to a 4.09 ERA in 30 games this year.

He will attempt to pitch his way into the 2009 playoffs with a win over the Minnesota Twins in today's game.

M. Ordonez has the upper hand on Twins starter Scott Baker going 18 for 39 off him giving him a lifetime average of .462 in his at bats with him.
