Vikings Escape Monday Night Football 4-0

Brett Favre and Arron Rodgers exchange kind words after putting on a show for the Minnesota crowd last night.

Minnesota defeated Green Bay 30-23 in a game that came down to team depth.

B. Farve completed 24 passes out of 31 attempted to give him 271 yards through the air finding the end zone for 3 touchdown passes.

The 39 year old soon to turn 40 is not used to having the protection he got from the Vikings offensive line.

The seasoned arm of Brett Favre seemed to be working as good as it ever has anytime he reached back to find a reciever.

The Minnesota Vikings team, and fans have really taken a liking to Brett, as this seems to be the perfect fit for all involved.

Thinking back to the game last night it was clear that the Vikings and Favre have found some chemistry very early in the season.

For whatever reason as much as the New York Jets gave to the man it was like a bad divorce waiting to happen, and now you see Minnesota welcome him into their organization.

I know this relationship with the star QB, and Minnesota has looked to be special, but it is so way too early to start thinking that he will be undefeated all season.

B. Favre is a meltdown waiting to happen as he let down the New York Jet last year, and pinned his last plummeting performance on the Jets coaching staff letting him play hurt.

As far as I'm concerned he chose to go out there, he has been around long enough where any coach would have left it all up to him.

Then you look at him starting off with a 4-0 record this season, and I think talks of him winning the super bowl is really pushing it right now.

As much as his team seems to be clicking right now you have to take in account that they will eventually have to contain Ben Rothlisberger, and the Pittsburgh Steelers come week 7.

Their star defensive sensation Jared Allen will have his hands full with the Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall who has averaged 5 and a half yards per carry so far this season.

Then you have to keep in mind that Arron Rodgers, and the Packers will meet the Vikings again week 8.

Another game that will be rough for the veteran Brett Farve is the last game of the season he will go up against Eli Manning, and the New York Giants who have one of the best defenses around.

That should be an exciting game as Jared Allen will keep Eli Manning on his toes, which should give New Yorks RB's Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs some running room.

I am looking really far into the season, but so has everyone else. I am not going to be one of those people that takes 4 games, and act like it means something because B. Favre winning a Football game has been done so many times.

He got a lot of support from his team that was better in all senses of the game except for the QB position.

Arron Rodgers is a great athlete, and moves around really well playing with 3rd string players on his offensive line.

At this point in time with the age of Brett I doubt that this undefeated streak will continue for long, as eventually those old bones will come back to haunt him.

Still in the end Brett Favre got the win last night, and he should be applauded for his effort along with his dedication to the game of Football.

I admire the way the man showed respect for his former team when he hugged all of his ex teammates.

Brett is a sportsman whatever his comments may be off the field you know where his heart is when he puts on those pads, as he aims for a slot into the Football hall of fame.

In my opinion a lot of the reason Minnesota won was their shut down defense which was strong when it needed to be.

Jared Allen led the Viking defense with 4.5 sacks to give A. Rodgers a constant problem in the pocket throughout the game.

All game J. Allen bull rushed the Packer offense into retreat, and was enough to contain the lead to give Brett Favre the chance to take this team into the playoffs.

This was one for the ages as Football fans were almost given a dramatic comeback from the Packers QB Arron Rodgers.

You cannot really blame A. Rodgers who had Jared Allen in his face almost every time he attempted a pass.

If that kind of pressure was applied to Minnesota's Brett Favre then I highly doubt they would have been able to do anything through the air.

Arron showed a lot of heart in last night's game, and proved that he can step up in the important games as well as Brett Favre.

A. Rodgers was 26 for 37 throwing for a career high 384 yards, and 2 touchdown passes.

The way he came on toward the end of the game was brilliant, and could mean the start of his road to greatness.

The Green Bay Packers will have the following week off due to a bye in the schedule, and will continue to rely on Arron Rodgers who is a star in the making.

On the other hand the Minnesota Vikings will meet the 0-4 St. Louis Rams this upcoming Sunday. Don't let the record dictate your predictions for this game as anything can happen.

Teams who have yet to win a ball game in a season almost five games through can be dangerous for a team looking to accomplish a potential spot in the playoffs.

Brett Favre has a lot on his side, but will still have a difficult job leading the way as it will be a long season ahead.
