The Giants ground game looked very strong in the first quarter mixing it up with Brandon Jacobs, and Ahmad Bradshaw.
B. Jacobs was able to get a huge first down on 3 and 1 as he bull rushed the middle.
The offense was moving the ball nicely on their first drive, as Ahmad Bradshaw brought them into the red zone with a 14 yard run.
Brandon Jacobs followed up with a 6 yard touchdown run to give New York a 7-0 lead.
The 2nd drive for the Giants was a bad one as for whatever reason Tom Coughlan decided to run the ball twice with B. Jacobs leaving Eli Manning to a 3rd and 5.
E. Manning responded with a nice pass that led Mario Manningham, but he could not hold onto the ball to give the ball back to the Bucs.
The G-Men's Terrell Thomas gave Eli, and the offense control again with an interception on Buc's QB Bryon Leftwich. That play gave New York the momentum going into the 2nd quarter.
Ahmad Bradshaw had a 38 yard gain on an awesome rushing attempt taking apart the Tampa defense, and bringing his team back to the red zone.
At this point of the game Eli Manning was on his game as he started out completing 6 of his first 8 passes for 56 yards with one of his passes being a drop.
Eli Manning found the end zone with Steve Smith to go up 14-0 in the 2nd quarter.
E. Manning was excellent in the red zone, and later would throw a beautiful touchdown pass to Sinorice Moss with 12 minutes left in the 4th quarter. This picture belongs to ESPN.com
Steve Smith was another bright spot for the team, as he had over 7 catches for 63 yards with a touchdown.
At the end of the day Eli Manning would complete 14 out of 24 passes to reach 161 yards while throwing two touchdown passes. This picture belongs to ESPN.com
Mario Manningham was another major factor in the air game, and was able to average over 13 yards per catch for a total of 55 yards on 4 catches.
The veteran punter Jeff Feagles kicked for a total of 200 yards averaging 50 yards per punt, and will continue to do his job throughout the year.
The Giants would put their b unit in for most of the 4th quarter as they won their 3rd straight game to go up 3-0 for the season.
Ahmad Bradshaw showed how good he is today, as almost every defensive player seemed to be bouncing off of him.
A. Bradshaw is full of energy, and brings a lot of toughness to the team. Tom Coughlan will have to find a way to get him the ball more.
Brandon Jacobs rushed for 92 yards on 26 carries, and like I have said before is not a #1 RB.
It is not a knock on the guy if you think about it someone like A. Bradshaw can make B. Jacobs realize that he is the kind of player that will need to be able to be a force up the middle.
You saw it in today's game when he has a player like Ahmad in front of him it makes it a lot easier for him to get the short yardage first downs.
Next Sunday the Giants will take on the Kansas City Chiefs for a 1:00 pm start as New York will look to stay undefeated, and go up 4-0.
