Eli Ready For Opening Day

The New York Giants are led by their star 28 year old quarterback Eli Manning.

E. Manning has found himself in elite company by winning a super bowl in 2007 beating the New England Patriots.

If you ask any Giant fan about that season they would tell you that is was one of the most clutch performances by a quarterback in any game.

If you look at what Eli has done in his short time in New York he has already made his mark as one of the greatest quarterbacks in franchise history.

Eli is coming off a decent 2008 season, but the year did not end the way he or anyone else in the Giant organization wanted as they lost in the opening round of the playoffs.

Last season he threw for 3,238 yards as he has put up consistent numbers his whole career. One stat that stands out from last year was that he threw a lot less interceptions only throwing 10 picks.

He has come into his own, and matured into a leader on the field. E. Manning will have a rough time as he will have to find another main target with the departure of Plaxico Burress.

The Giants running game is always a dangerous tool with explosiveness of Brandon Jacobs, and Ahmad Bradshaw along with textbook blocking from Fullback Madison Hedgecock.

Another potential tool in the running game could be young 22 year old Andre Brown in his rookie year coming out of North Carolina State.

Eli has a lot of support with is young entourage of talented wide receivers. Two primary targets for E. Manning should be Steve Smith, and 24 year old Domenik Hixon.

You can never say enough about the offensive line as they have been a valuable part of the New York offense for many years now.

Then you look at the G-Men defense they are indestructible tearing apart opposing offenses in the NFL.

Now when you hear the name Manning you don't just think of Peyton anymore, you know Eli is now a superstar.

Today the New York Giants will kick off their 2009 season with a 4:15 start against the Washington Redskins at Giants Stadium.

This season should be interesting as the Giants will look to add another super bowl.
