The New York Rangers are centered around one of the greatest goaltenders in hockey the 27 year old natural out of Sweden Henrik Lundqvist.

Whenever you are at the Garden, you know you will hear chants of "HENRIK" all around the areana as Lundqvist shines above the majority.

He was a major part of the 2007-08 olympics when he won a gold medal with Sweden, during his career as a Ranger.

Henrik is the first goaltender in history to win at least 30 games in each of his first four seasons.

When you think of how many goalies that have produced big time numbers, you have to be impressed by what Lundqvist has done in such a short time.

The interesting thing to watch as the season approaches will be seeing how Marian Gaborik will fare in the New York spotlight.

Gaborik has been an elite player in the NHL who will add a lot to the Rangers lineup if he can play up to his ability.

Marian will look to add to his 219 career goals in his first season for the blueshirts.

The captain Chris Drury is coming off an injury that he played through during the playoffs last season. Chris has a great shot, and has many variations of how he can put the puck in the net.

Ryan Callahan will return after resigning with New York, and is a big time player with the game on the line.

You know R. Callahan will give you the same effort game after game always involving himself in the action.

New York traded away Scott Gomez which no matter how much you have to love him, the trade made a lot of sense.

Gomez just couldn't find a way to produce the numbers he was capable of as a ranger, and he will look to rebound in Montreal.

The Rangers have made many improvements as they have taken a lot of stress off of Sean Avery to carry the physical game with the addition of veteran Donald Brashear.

Brashear will be the enforcer as New York will be able to get more offense out of Avery.

Vinny Prospal another valuable acquisition to the team will also help build the offense into a dominate force throughout the 09-10 season.

The Rangers will look to return with some of the best defensemen in hockey.

Marc Staal will look to develop his offensive skills more, and start to shoot the puck more. M. Staal has to realize how good he is, and take more charge on the ice.

Then around Staal you have young Dan Girardi, and two veteran stars in Michael Rozsival along with Wade Redden.

The Rangers are ready for another long season as they look to place themselves at the top of the hockey world.
