Brian Roberts owned Burnett as he managed to have a 3 for 4 came including his 2nd inning grand slam.
I have heard numerous people get on Brian Roberts, but he is a valuable player to the Baltimore Orioles.
Looking at the stats off ESPN.com Roberts for the 2009 campaign is supporting a .286 batting average with 15 home runs, and 73 RBI. For a 2nd basemen Roberts has great numbers, although numbers is not his game.
Brian will be a big bat when you need it, and will steal a base when you need runners in scoring position.
If you could somehow take out the 2nd inning then A.J. Burnett pitched great, as he gave up 6 runs along with a Brian Roberts grand slam.
Today A.J. Burnett had a great catcher to pitch to in Jose Molina, so there is nobody to blame but A.J. He has to spot his fastball better deep in the count with runners in scoring position.
Although I feel Burnett will be a big pitcher when post season comes around, he has to show more consistency down the stretch.
Everything I have written has backed the man, but it is up to him to decide his own fate.

A. Rodriguez is on pace for 98 RBI, but you know his power stroke is waiting to break out. What he is on pace for with power numbers doesn't give him credit for how many runs he can drive in.
Melky Cabrera got things rolling in the 9th inning with an RBI double to right field.
The Melk man had another good day at the plate going 1 for 2 with 2 RBI working 2 walks on the day.
Jorge Posada is such a good hitter the way he came in the bottom of the 9th and drove a base hit back up the middle.
Jorge has been great this year, and has been a huge run producer. You know whenever he arrives to the plate he will always be dangerous for any opposing pitcher.
Derek Jeter struck out to lose the game 7-3 but had a ridiculous pitch called for strike two on him. Down by 4 runs with two outs, and the umps still wouldn't give a consistent strike zone.
I've noticed the last two games the home plate umpires were absolutely terrible.
